Dr Calvin Sidhu
Interventional Pulmonologist, Respiratory & Sleep Physician

Calvin is a respiratory & sleep physician who has subspecialised in Lung nodules / cancers and Interventional pulmonology. 

He completed his respiratory and sleep medicine training in Victoria before undertaking renowned separate Clinical fellowships in Lung cancer / Advanced Bronchoscopy and Pleural Medicine (Perth, WA). He then served as a specialist in these areas while undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy in interventional pulmonology, before returning to Melbourne. 

He currently is a lung cancer, interventional pulmonologist and pleural physician at Western Health and LASV, and can also manage general respiratory & sleep conditions. He can perform bronchoscopic diagnostic (eg. linear & radial endobronchial ultrasound [EBUS or EUS-B], biopsies, cryobiopsy) and therapeutic procedures (eg. rigid bronchoscopy, balloon dilatation, electrosurgery, endobronchial valve). He is also trained in managing pleural conditions (e.g. effusions) and pleural procedures (short and long term chest tubes).

He has a strong interest in his subspecialty interest, having published numerous manuscripts and helped author book chapters in bronchoscopy & pleural disease. 

He has active roles in the Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand and World Association of Bronchology & Interventional Pulmonology, and is also a member of the European Respiratory Society.
