Dr Monica Hatch

Dr Monica Hatch completed her medical degree at Monash university with additional studies undertaken for a Bachelor of medical Science (Honours). She went on to complete her specialty training in Respiratory and Sleep medicine with training taking place at the Western Hospital Footscray, The Alfred hospital and Frankston hospital.

Dr Hatch received her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2022, and is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ) and the Australasian Sleep Association (ASA).

Dr Hatch holds a public appointment at University hospital Geelong. She is passionate about patient education- ensuring patients feel involved in decision making and leave with a plan in hand.

In addition to general respiratory medicine, Dr Hatch’s clinical interests include

  • Pulmonary vascular disease (including pulmonary embolism)
  • Sleep disorders
  • Chronic lung disease and breathlessness
