Dr Shalini Bastiampillai is a Respiratory and Sleep Disorders physician. Dr Bastiampillai’s clinical interests include:

• Interstitial lung disease
• General respiratory and
• Sleep medicine

Dr Bastiampillai completed her basic medical training with the University of Adelaide, attaining her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2002. In 2011 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and in 2012 she completed a fellowship in Interstitial Lung Disease at the Royal Brompton Hospital, UK.

Currently, Dr Bastiampillai holds a public appointment at the Western Hospital, Footscray.   Privately, she consults with Lung & Sleep Victoria in Footscray, Sydenham and Flemington.

Dr Bastiampillai is also a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), Australasian Sleep Association (ASA), European Respiratory Society (ERS) and American Thoracic Society (ATS).
